PLAYWORK: AN APPROACH

Playwork, and for all good reasons, is having a huge resurgence in Australia as a result of amazing advocacy among multiple groups, the addition of Playwork into particular learning frameworks and high education degrees, increasing Australian research and publications and an immense amount of positive work of mouth. Like anything quickly on the rise however there can often be confusion around the actual role of Playworker and numerous, and dangerous misconceptions around Playwork being a stand offish, passive or even disengaged approach to working with children. In short this could not be further from the truth and these sessions will break down the why and how of Playwork engagement in a play space in a practical and achievable way.
